AllSolar Service Co. Inc., a Kissimmee-based solar design/build firm, and Orlando-based homebuilder Rey Group Inc. have joined forces to launch a new campaign designed to educate local builders and residents about solar energy options.

The “Take Power. Choose Solar.” campaign promotes the adoption of renewable energy methods and is scheduled to launch July 30 at the Southeast Building Conference at the Orange County Convention Center.

The $727,000 campaign will be funded from a $320,000 grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, which AllSolar and the Rey Group matched with $406,000 of their own money.
