Minority-owned businesses — primarily African American firms — have been awarded more than $8.4 million for pre-construction and construction work on the Orlando Events Center. In addition, women-owned firms received more than $4.6 million of the $38.2 million in contracts and subcontracts awarded thus far for the Blueprint project. More than $273 million in contracts will be awarded for the Events Center project in the coming months.
