tony-jrTony Rey Jr. is the Chief Operating Officer for both Verde Construction Managers and  Rey Group, Inc., a full service real estate company with three divisions, Rey Homes, Rey Commercial and Rey DevCo.  In his position at Rey Group, he guides the company’s strategic growth by overseeing the operations of each divisional branch and finding new growth possibilities as well as finding new locations for development. He also is President of Rey DevCo, which he established in 2003 as the development company affiliated with Rey Group. As President, Tony has negotiated the purchase and development of parcels that include more than 1,100 residential lots and nearly 600,000 square feet of commercial property for Rey Group and other third-party investors.

Tony received his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University double majoring in International Business and Finance, and during his collegiate career he worked at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He “officially” joined Rey Group in 1999, although he has worked from the ground up at the company his entire life. He has applied his financial background to Rey Group by structuring lucrative deals for equity and debt partners as well as guiding its strategic growth. As testimony to his accomplishments, Rey Groups revenue has increased from $6 million to $36 million – in the past seven years.

In addition to his work in the family business, he is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. He has also served two terms as Chairman of the Home Builders Association’s Latin Builders Council.  Tony was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Jireh Foundation and the Heavenly Hoofs Foundation.

Tony lives in Orlando with his wife Jennifer and their two daughters.

Eric, with his elder and younger brother, worked with the Rey Group in several capacities.eric
He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration. His current duties involve serving as President, overseeing the daily operations of Verde Construction Managers.
Eric is a Licensed General Contractor and a LEED Accredited Professional.
He is also a member of Citrus Civitan where he has volunteered for many local charities including Quest, Inc., Coalition for the Homesless, the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida and many others.
Eric, an Orlando native, lives in Winter Park along with his wife Bianca.

Operations Manager

aldoIn addition to serving as Operations Manager for Verde Construction, is also President of Rey Group, a commercial and residential construction firm that owns, develops, manages and constructs properties throughout Florida under the subsidiary companies Rey Commercial, Rey Homes and Rey DevCo. He has a full-spectrum of expertise and knowledge in the construction industry, including construction management, product launches, new product development, sales and marketing management, and market analysis.

In his current position, he oversees the company’s $36-million-a-year commercial and residential construction operations. During the last three years, Aldo helped increase Rey Group’s revenue by more than a third (from 3 percent to 13 percent) – making the company the nation’s 164th largest Hispanic-owned business. In addition, he helped increase residential sales from $5 million to more than $35 million by overseeing the residential product lines for Rey Homes’ City Homes at Orlando’s Baldwin Park project and VillaSol residential homes project in Kissimmee, Florida.

With nearly two decades of construction experience, he has managed more than 70,000 sq. ft. of retail and multifamily projects valued at more than $20 million, and managed more than $100 million of residential construction work. He has also earned his “Green Build” certification from the Florida Green Build Coalition as well as the Department of Energy’s “Energy Star” certification for residential product lines he has worked on.

Aldo joined Rey Homes in 1988 as a project engineer, who worked his way up to project manager in 1995 and five years later became vice president. He is a licensed real estate agent as well as a certified builder and residential contractor. In addition to his work at Rey Group, he is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Urban Land Institute, the Metro Orlando Home Builders Association and the National Home Builders Association.

A native of Cuba, Aldo moved to Indianapolis in 1981 where he received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University at Bloomington. He moved to Orlando in 1988 and resides here with his wife and children.

Business Development

Eduardo Freitas carries with him a wealth of experience in managing one of Brazil’s largest civil and vertical construction firms.  Together, with his father and brothers, Eduardo has overseen completion of a varied and extensive list of projects, including infrastructure, large governmental buildings, and various other public works.  As a representative of the Camter team, Eduardo’s vision and experience play an invaluable role at Verde Construction Managers.

A native of Brazil, Eduardo now calls Central Florida home, along with his wife and children.

Project Manager

alexLike his brothers before him, Alex has been integral part of shaping the quality and service of Rey Group’s Commercial & Residential divisions. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, Alex joined the team as a Customer Relations and Quality Control Specialist, serving to ensure that processes are completed correctly and thoroughly reviewed prior to any delivery to the end consumer. As Rey Group’s holdings have evolved, so too have Alex’s responsibilities, including roles in both commercial leasing and tenant relations. Recently, Alex has been managing the construction process for projects as part of the project management team with the designation as a LEED Accredited Professional with Verde Construction Managers.

Alex was born in Orlando and along with his wife Kristin live in Orlando. He is a member of the Citrus Civitan Club, a local service club, where he has volunteered with numerous local charities including Habitat for Humanity, the Coalition for the Homeless, and Quest, Inc.

Project Engineer

evelynBefore joining Rey Group in 2005 and then Verde, Evelyn worked for Telemundo assisting with everything from marketing and promotions to financial analysis.

She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2007 with a BSBA degree in Finance.

Evelyn is active in her church and is a member of the UCF Alumni Association and hopes to become further involved in the Orlando community.

A native of Cuba, Evelyn moved to Orlando in 2000.

Pedro Rodriguez download contact information

Project Manager

Pedro Rodriguz has a background in technical metal welding and fabrication, he is familiar with specialty construction and design.  His experience is a great addition to the VCM team in meeting the needs of our clients.

Pedro is a former Rey Group employee where he filled the role of Residential Superintendent.  After working in custom metal fabrication for commercial and residential clients for the past 5 years he decided to join the VCM team with an additional knowledge as a sub-contractor.

Pedro is currently working on several construction projects with Verde Construction Managers as we expand our position into the Central Florida Marketplace.

Pedro was born in Cuba and moved to Central Florida in 2002.  He lives in Orlando with his wife and their son.

Giovanni Castro download contact information

Project Manager

Giovanni Castro has been a member of the team since 2004 when he joined as a contract administrator.  Over the years, his background in the US Military has proven his abilities in organization, diligence and effectiveness.  Prior to joining the team, Giovanni was working his way through the corporate ladder of a Fortune 500 company.

 

As a contributing member to the Amway Center Construction Project, Giovanni’s role as a Project Engineer was a great contribution as much as it was help a learning experience.  With his vast experience in project management, he was chosen to be a part of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in which he is currently acting as a Project Engineer.

 

Giovanni was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Central Florida in at an early age.  He lives in Orlando with his wife and children.
